Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
